LOTW Yoga's January News

Dear LOTW Community,

January is an opportunity for a new beginning for many of us. With the new year we have a chance to recommit to our healthy habits and acts that contribute to our overall wellbeing. At the studio we believe in whole being wellness; body, mind and soul.

We have a variety of offerings for you to commit to your health and wellness this year.

Check out our January offerings below. From Pilates and Essentrics to Vinyasa Yoga Flow and Yoga Nidra. And our favourite smoothie recipe!

We have a few updates for you about the in studio classes:

  • Classes start the second week in January, to ease us all back into routine. With the first classes on January 10th 2022.

  • Due to provincial health orders we are limited to 9 participants in studio (10 including instructor) so space is limited in each class.

  • You must show proof of vaccination to your instructor at the first class you attend or if your instructor asks to see it again.

  • Pre-booking is still mandatory but you can now sign up for multiple classes without signing up for a full series. (This means you can attend any classes you want but you will still have to book ahead.)

  • Drop ins will only be permitted if one or more of the 9 spaces are open in the class. You must email us ahead of time to book. Cost is $18 for a single drop in.

  • Pricing for 4 weeks, is as follows - $65 for 1 class per week; $95 for 2 classes per week and $150 for 3 classes per week.

  • Masks must still be worn when moving around, into or out of the studio. Once on your mat and social distancing can be ensured you are welcome to remove your mask.

  • We still encourage you to bring your own equipment but will provide the necessary amenities if required (mats, blocks, bolsters, straps). Please wipe down any equipment you use in the studio.

You can book your spaces by emailing us at lotwyoga@gmail.com, If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

Recipe of the Month!

Go Green

from Jasmine's kitchen

Do you have a hard time getting your fruit and veggies for the day? My three year old has decided he dislikes almost everything except apples. So we load our smoothies with everything we can and make them a fun treat by either freezing them as popsicles or adding a bit of coconut whipped cream on top. Here's our favourite green smoothie.

(you can add and take away whatever you like, that's the fun of smoothies!)

2 apples

1 pear

2-3 inches of cucumber

1 C spinach

1/2 frozen avacado

1 tsp of greens (powdered)

1-2 tbsp chia seeds

1 1/2 C oat milk (or until it just covers the other ingredients in the blender)

We sometimes add a bit of apple juice or vanilla oat milk to sweeten it up a bit more.

Blend and Enjoy! We eat these Morning, Noon and Night. Sometimes in the tub if its a popsicle.

(please email to inquired about in studio or online if not specified)

Wishing you all connection, joy and health for 2022!
