LOTW November Newsletter

We are travellers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.

~ Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

We are heading into the cooler months of the year. And I don't know about you but I'm already feeling burnt out. September and October were busy months after being in isolation for so long. Rather than getting ready to hibernate, it's time to get back to routines that fuel you and bring you joy. We have some great 4 and 5 week series with our amazing instructors. Watch for some pop up classes with Jasmine, we will be starting some Hygge (hoo-gaa) themes early this year to come back to a sense of community and comfort. To stay up to date keep watching our website, Facebook and instagram pages.

You will notice that our website has taken on a more minimalist look. This is so you can easily navigate and find classes. I will be moving all of my videos and content to my own website so it is easy to navigate and the two are not confused. For now we do not have a monthly schedule. Classes are set individually by instructors and are separate registrations. If you are registering for multiple classes there are discounted prices. Just email me to enquire. Drop ins will only be available to classes that do not sell out. Some restrictions have been lifted in fitness studios, however because we want to continue to practice without masks we have to maintain the 2m between participants. This means we are still limited to 10 per class.

Masks must still be worn into the studio and when are where the 2m distance cannot be maintained. You must also show your proof of vaccination to your instructor if you have not done so already.

Please email me with any questions or concerns.

Recipe of the Month!

apple cinnamon muffins

from Jasmine's Kitchen

These muffins are more of a treat than a health breakfast option but we like them during the colder months. The cinnamon and apples make us feel cozy and warm.

1 1/2 Cups all purpose flour

1 1/2 Cups whole wheat flour

1 1/2 Cups sugar (or alternative - we use Stevia)

1 tsp cinnamon

4 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

2/3 Cups vegetable oil

2 eggs (or 1/4 C extra oil)

1 Cup milk (we use oat milk)

4 apples (or more if you're baking with a toddler)

Preheat oven to 350 F

Grease muffin tin (12 regular muffins - I always seem to end up making 14-16)

Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon. Mix oil, egg and milk. Add to dry ingredients. Peel apples and dice into approximately 1 inch chunks. Fold in apples. Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups. I also sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top.

Bake 15-20 minutes

(we sometimes make mini muffins and they make for 10-15 minutes).

Serve with camomile tea or apple cider.
