Happy November Yoga family!

Yoga has come a long way in our community and I am honoured to be a part of the process to bring this beautiful teaching to our region. I have been blessed to be able to teach yoga in the schools to both the students and the faculty. I think it is so important for children to learn how to self regulate and for everyone to learn how to become mindful citizens.

I also believe that yoga should be inclusive of everyone. All shapes, sizes and ages. If you have a body, you have a yoga body. Which is why I am thrilled to be teaching another beginner course and introduce more people to the practice of stepping into your own power through yoga.

While this course is now full I will be offering another one in the new year so if you or someone you know missed out keep checking for the next registration.

We are coming up to a busy time of year but its also a time of year when we have an opportunity to give back to our community and do something good for those less fortunate in our area. We will be offering our community yoga classes which are free by donation. We will take non-perishable food items, new individually wrapped health and care products (ie. Toothpaste, deodorant, etc), any new or gently used pieces of warm clothing and also any spare change. It’s important that we take care of ourselves so that we can take care of others.

GIVE AWAY!!!!

We are also giving away some beautiful Lulu Lemon Yoga mats that are monogramed with ‘Lake of the Woods’. They are thicker for your comfort and made from natural rubber. There are four of these mats, which we will be giving away from now until Christmas. To win the first one simply come to a class and enter a ballot. We are drawing for the first one November 30th!

There are some significant changes to the schedule this month so please make sure you check our schedule or our website for the latest updates. Don’t forget you can sign up for classes online to secure your spot! Here are some of the changes that you should know about:

Mondays: Amanda will be back mid month so Jasmine will continue to fill in until she returns.

Erik is no longer teaching Monday evenings but will be teaching one of our Community classes on November 20th at 11:30am.

Jen is teaching an amazing restorative class at 6:30 pm till 8pm. If you love Yin you’ll love this class with it’s passive posses, soothing meditations and gentle hands on massage.

Tuesdays: Bridgitte’s classes will remain the same. Jasmine is teaching a Vinyasa class at 6:30pm after her Healthy Backs class.

Wednesdays: No changes from last month

Thursdays: Deb will also be returning mid month so Jasmine will be filling in until she returns. Thursday evenings starting November 10th Jasmine is teaching a Beginner Yoga class (this class is sold out). Keric’s Yin class has moved up in time and now starts at 7pm and runds till 8:30pm!

Fridays & Saturdays: no changes

LIVE MUSIC & GENTLE YOGA FLOW

– Special Event November 26th 7-8:30pm is a Live performance by Reilly Scott to accompany a Gentle Yoga flow with Jasmine

COMMUNITY YOGA

Sundays: November 13th & 27th is Karma Yoga with Karli Sobiski our newest Yoga Instructor! November 20th is with Erik – all Sunday Community classes ate 11:30-12:30 by donation!
