July Newsletter

Happy Canada Day Yogis!

Welcome July in Kenora and Lake of the Woods.

Barbeques, farmers markets, fireworks, beach time, iced tea and camping. May July bring you all the fun and relaxation you’ve been looking for. Remember you’re worth it!

Big changes this month!

Most of you know by now that the studio has moved to a new location. We are now practicing at 401 6th Avenue South, in the same building as the Crossfit Core Gym, and we are just down the hall from the lovely Moon in June pottery studio. If you’ve never been I recommend checking it out. It’s a beautiful space and she’s also at the farmers markets on Wednesdays!

We also have some amazing classes this month.

Our Community Classes are taking over some days other than Sunday. Erik will be teaching a few classes throughout the month so make sure you check out the dates for those. These are community classes because we ask for a small donation of either non-perishable food items or any amount that you feel comfortable with, to be donated to our local shelter and food bank. We believe in community at our studio and it’s important to give to those who need it.

We are saying goodbye to Bridgitte Brown who is moving to Winnipeg to finish her schooling over the next year. We will miss her but we are wishing her the very best in her studies. We are sending her love and luck that she does well and will return to us next summer. The lovely Amanda is teaching her Vinyasa class every Monday morning at 10am. You can also visit her at her new location – Boreal has moved downtown to 2nd street!

Keric Funk is back teaching his Saturday morning Yin/Vin class. This class is popular so make sure you pre-register online!

Yoga Through Your Chakras with JoJo – Janis Holiday, is a new class this month. Take your practice to new depths, exploring asanas and pranayama to ignite the chakras and your inner light.

Watch our facebook page for Rainy Day Little Yogis with Shari Mills. These classes will take place when those beach days turn into movie days. Take a break from the couch during the rain and stretch your imagination with Shari. Ages 3-7 years.

We have a Karma(free) class for the summer, sponsored by the Kenora Lululemon store. If the weather is right we’ll be heading outside so come prepared for the sun. Wear a hat and sunscreen for asana in the grass.

Karla Treadway’s Girls Tribe Community has some amazing offers this month that include yoga with her every Tuesday and Thursday so make sure you check out her facebook page for details!

And Deb is filling up our new space with her two Thursday morning classes. If you want a spot you should get there early or book online!

We are excited about the new space and it’s slowly starting to feel like home. We have so much love and gratitude for all of you and your support over the last few weeks as we transition. From all the students who attend our classes to those of you that have helped us along the way; we couldn’t do what we do without you and for that we are incredibly thankful.

Here’s to summer and new beginnings! We wish you all the best for your summer and we’ll see you in our new space!

Namaste xo
